Vira Magallanes Egli grew up in Elysian Park in a household of immigrant entrepreneurs, where Spanish and Cantonese were the dominant languages. She began her insurance career as a teenager while helping at her family’s insurance agency. More than 25 years later, she is passionate about showing young people that a career in insurance can be both exciting and financially rewarding.
Vira has been featured in various insurance media outlets and has served as President of a California insurance association. She is an alumna of Loyola Marymount University, where she graduated as a double major and was recognized for her academic achievements in History and French.
Vira has lived and worked internationally, including time in China and Switzerland. Most recently, she served as Head of Sales and Marketing for a division of FIFA, the governing body of football. Her global experience has shaped the way she approaches business, leadership, and opportunity.
Vira used to be asked, “How does a little Mexican girl from Los Angeles get to where you are?” Today, she is proud to see that question becoming less relevant as more young women from all backgrounds discover their potential, build financial wealth, and create their own paths to whatever they define as success.
